President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to deploying resources towards critical sectors in order to make a significant impact on the welfare of Nigerians. In a statement released by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu emphasized that his administration will not tolerate any misuse of the nation’s treasury. This commitment was made during a meeting with the Forum of State Chairmen of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), led by National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje at the State House in Abuja.
Tinubu assured the Forum that the government is working tirelessly to improve the living conditions of all Nigerians. He also urged grassroots leaders to encourage citizens to obtain their National Identification Number (NIN) for effective planning, structured interventions, and integration into government relief programs. The President outlined the government’s progressive agenda, which includes student loans, a national consumer credit system, and social welfare programs for the unemployed and graduates, ensuring that every Nigerian finds a place of importance in the country.
Furthermore, Tinubu revealed that his administration has developed a blueprint for large-scale livestock farming and emphasized the importance of mechanized farming to enhance agricultural productivity. He mentioned supplying fertilizers to farmers and highlighted agriculture as a key solution to economic diversification and sustainable development in the country. The President expressed his determination to reduce food imports and transform scarcity into abundance through effective agricultural policies.
Repositioning the economy remains a top priority for Tinubu, who urged party members to engage in civic responsibilities without depending solely on government appointments. He acknowledged the challenges faced in the fight against corruption, smuggling, and the removal of subsidies but emphasized the government’s commitment to defending the interests of the Nigerian people.
Tinubu also called upon party chairmen across states, regardless of party affiliation, to mobilize citizens for NIN registration, especially among the less privileged who may lack formal education. He emphasized the importance of accurate data and digital intervention structures to drive effective governance and policymaking.
Additionally, Tinubu mentioned a committee of governors led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, working towards uplifting the people through comprehensive economic initiatives. Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, in his remarks, expressed the party’s plan to establish an Institute of Policy and Development for the benefit of members and the general public, pledging their loyalty and support towards implementing economic programs and policies.
In conclusion, President Tinubu’s administration is dedicated to prioritizing the welfare and prosperity of Nigerians through strategic investments in key sectors, agricultural transformation, and innovative policies to drive economic growth and development. The government’s progressive agenda aims to create opportunities for all citizens and build a more prosperous and inclusive society for the benefit of all.
