The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Kwara State that left at least 100 people dead and several others injured.
In a press statement issued on 17 February 2026, members of the Security Council described the 3 February attack as “heinous and cowardly,” noting that it resulted not only in significant loss of life but also widespread destruction of property.
