During a meeting at the State House on Thursday, President Bola Tinubu emphasized the importance of senior civil servants rededicating themselves to their duties and working towards enhancing the lives of Nigerians by promptly addressing matters related to citizens’ welfare and the economy. He stressed that their actions as the engine room of the government will impact more than 200 million people in the country and abroad, urging them to work towards fulfilling the dreams of future generations and changing the narrative on Nigeria and Africa at large.
Additionally, the President warned against increasing the vulnerability of Nigerians and requested the public servants to assist them in overcoming the challenges they face, while addressing issues without unacceptable delays. Before delivering his remarks, President Tinubu received a briefing from the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, on the performance of the service in relation to previously established KPIs across multiple assessment streams.
