President Bola Tinubu has recently made key appointments for vital positions in government. One of the significant appointments made by President Tinubu is that of Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP). In a statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), it was emphasized that President Tinubu expects Dr. Otuaro to leverage his experience and expertise to rejuvenate the Amnesty Programme and work towards achieving its core objectives and vision. In addition to the appointment of Dr. Otuaro, President Tinubu has also approved the appointment of Dr. Dakorinama Alabo George as the Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA). Dr. George, a highly qualified professional, holds a PhD in Construction Management, an MSc in Quantity Surveying and Construction Engineering, and a B.Tech in Quantity Surveying. He is a fellow of esteemed organizations such as the Certified Institute of Practising Professionals, USA, and the Association of Strategy Professionals, USA.
Dr. George’s extensive experience, including his previous role as a commissioner for works in Rivers State, makes him well-suited for the position of Director-General of the BCDA. His expertise in construction management and quantity surveying will contribute to the effective implementation of development projects in border communities across the country.
