Former APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Yekini Nabena, has confidently stated that President Bola Tinubu will successfully complete his 8-year tenure in office. Drawing a comparison to former President Muhammadu Buhari’s completion of two terms in office, Nabena emphasized that President Tinubu will follow suit and complete his own two terms as well. He called on both the South and the North to rally behind President Tinubu and support his Renewed Hope Agenda.

Nabena’s declaration was made in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, April 2, as reported by Legit.ng. The APC chieftain firmly believes that no merger, mega party, or any evil plot will be able to unseat President Tinubu in 2027. He stressed the importance of unity and support from both regions to ensure President Tinubu’s success in fulfilling his agenda for the country.

In light of the upcoming elections, there have been speculations about potential challenges to President Tinubu’s leadership. Sources revealed that opposition figures, including former PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, are considering forming a new party to contest against the APC in the 2027 general election. Atiku is said to have initiated plans for this new party in collaboration with members of the National Assembly, aiming to present a unified front against the ruling party.

The growing disunity within the leading opposition party has raised concerns within Atiku’s camp, as they fear that this may hinder their chances of winning in 2027. With the PDP experiencing internal rifts, Atiku and other opposition figures are strategizing to form a stronger political entity to challenge the dominance of the APC, led by President Tinubu and Abdullahi Ganduje.

Despite these potential threats, Hon. Yekini Nabena remains optimistic about President Tinubu’s ability to serve two terms in office. Drawing inspiration from President Buhari’s successful completion of 8 years, Nabena believes that President Tinubu will overcome any obstacles in his path. He emphasized the need for unity and support from all regions of the country to ensure continuity and progress under President Tinubu’s leadership.

As the political landscape continues to evolve leading up to the 2027 elections, the dynamics of power and influence are shifting. President Tinubu’s leadership faces both internal and external challenges, but with steadfast support and determination, he may well fulfill his mandate and complete his tenure in office. Only time will tell how these intricate political maneuvers will play out and shape the future of Nigeria’s leadership.
