In a bold move to tackle poverty through data-driven governance, the Sokoto State Government has approved the conduct of a Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Survey aimed at identifying the root causes of deprivation across the state.

The Governor of Sokoto State, Dr Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, approved the survey, which is set to run from 19 June to 9 July 2025.
