The deputy president of the senate, Barau Jibrin, has awarded full scholarships to 1,000 students worth over ₦800,000 for each of them.
Speaking at the launch of the scholarship programme at Bayero University in Kano on Saturday, Barau said it it is aimed at addressing educational financial challenges faced by youths and provide them with access to quality education.
