Saudi Arabian authorities have released three Nigerian pilgrims who were wrongfully detained in Makkah after bags containing marijuana were falsely linked to their names at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
The freed victims are Maryam Abdullahi Hussaini, Abdullahi Bahijja Aminu, and Abdulhamid Saddiq.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the detainees were released on Monday, following the intervention of the Nigerian government.
