Nigeria: Rupetta Academy to participate in world record chess challenge

Rupetta Academy is set to join the International Chess Federation (FIDE) in celebrating its 100th Anniversary by attempting to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest chess marathon for the number of games played.

Founder/CEO of the Academy, Katmaan Senlong, said that the objective of joining the challenge was to make history as well as celebrate the power of chess adding that the Academy is the only organisation in the FCT taking part in the GWR FIDE challenge.
