Nigeria: Rep. Abubakar Bichi employs 200 teachers, increases salaries of 118 others — Africa Links 24

A member representing Bichi Federal Constituency, Abubakar Kabir-Abubakar, has employed 200 additional teachers to be posted to primary, secondary and Islamic schools in his constituency.

The legislator also upgraded the salaries of 118 existing teachers from N18,000 to N60,000.

Habibu Usman-Abdu, the head of the education committee of the Kabir Abubakar Foundation, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Kano, following the issuance of appointment letters to the new teachers.
