The City Boy Movement, a pro-Seyi Tinubu support group, has expressed disappointment and frustration with the President Bola Tinubu administration for sidelining its members. The group, through its spokesperson Danliman Abdullahi, highlighted that they played a significant role in securing the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election. Despite their dedicated efforts, the group feels excluded and marginalized from key decision-making processes and government appointments at both the federal and state levels.

Abdullahi noted that their movement was instrumental in mobilizing votes and garnering support for Mr. Tinubu during the election. However, their national and state leaders who were actively involved in the campaign have been disregarded and sidelined, leaving many members feeling disrespected and betrayed. The group’s canvassers and champions across the country have accused the state leaders of being unreliable and deceitful, further adding to their frustration.

In light of this, the City Boy Movement demands immediate inclusion in both the Federal and State Governments under President Tinubu’s administration. They seek acknowledgment for their contributions and a platform for their voices to be heard. The group calls upon the Chief of Staff to intervene and ensure that the efforts and sacrifices of all stakeholders, especially the City Boy Movement, are recognized and appreciated.

While maintaining their support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration and the ongoing reforms, the group emphasizes the importance of acknowledging their contributions and rewarding them accordingly. They express a commitment to continue advocating for fair treatment and a rightful place in President Tinubu’s government until their demands are met.

The City Boy Movement remains steadfast in their beliefs but asserts that their efforts must not be overlooked. They urge for their efforts to be acknowledged and valued, emphasizing the need for recognition and inclusion in the government. The group pledges to persist in their advocacy efforts until they receive the fair treatment they deserve and are given a seat at the table in President Tinubu’s administration.
