Oyo Government has stressed the need for all pregnant women to register for antenatal care and ensure they undergo an HIV test to determine their HIV status to curb cases of HIV in newborn children.

Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (OYSACA), Dr Gbola Adetunji, in a statement issued to commemorate the 2024 World AIDS Day, said this is vital because Nigeria’s contribution to global HIV burden, particularly among children, is significant.
