The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State is gearing up for the governorship primary in April, and leaders from Supare-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area have pledged their support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s bid for re-election. Following a meeting of the party leaders, Mr. Niran Olanusi, son of former deputy governor Alhaji Ali Olanusi, expressed confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s ability to secure the APC gubernatorial ticket. He emphasized that the other aspirants are not a threat to Aiyedatiwa and predicted a smooth path for him during the primary.

Olanusi highlighted the importance of declaring support for Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy to signal to other contenders that there is no room for change in leadership. He likened Aiyedatiwa to a “moving train,” gathering momentum and attracting supporters due to his progressive vision. Olanusi dismissed the competition as weak contenders against Aiyedatiwa, whom he deemed the best candidate for the job.

The community leaders urged the people of Supare-Akoko to rally behind Aiyedatiwa’s administration and its positive initiatives for the area and the state at large. They called for unity and support for Aiyedatiwa’s policies to ensure continued development and progress in the region. The Chairman of Ondo Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, echoed the sentiments of unwavering support for Aiyedatiwa, predicting his emergence as the party’s flagbearer and the eventual backing of all other aspirants.

Olabimtan emphasized Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to inclusive governance, promising an administration that is transparent and responsive to the needs of the people. He assured that Aiyedatiwa’s leadership would benefit everyone, regardless of their current stance on his candidacy. Olabimtan predicted that once Aiyedatiwa secures the party ticket, all opposition would unite in support of his candidacy for the greater good of Ondo State.

In conclusion, the leaders of Supare-Akoko expressed unwavering support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s re-election bid, citing his track record of achievements and vision for continued progress in Ondo State. They emphasized the need for unity within the party and the community to ensure a successful outcome in the upcoming governorship primary. With strong backing from influential leaders like Olanusi and Olabimtan, Aiyedatiwa’s path to securing the APC ticket appears promising and set for a smooth victory.
