In preparation for the upcoming Eld-el-Fitr celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has taken proactive measures by deploying 40,000 personnel across the country. This deployment is aimed at ensuring adequate security and preventing any potential acts of criminality during and after the celebration. The Corps Spokesperson, CSC Babawale Afolabi, confirmed this in a statement released in Abuja on Monday.

The NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Audi, has instructed state Commandants to strategically deploy personnel to key locations and flash points. The Corps plans to utilize both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches to address any security challenges that may arise during the Eid-El-Fitr celebration in different states.

Collaboration with sister security agencies is essential for effective service delivery, and the NSCDC will actively supervise the activities of its personnel during this period. Mr. Afolabi emphasized the importance of reflecting on the lessons of compassion, unity, and mutual respect taught during Ramadan. He called on Muslim faithful to remember the less fortunate and vulnerable members of society and extend a helping hand to them.

As Muslims across the nation prepare to celebrate Eid, the NSCDC wishes everyone a peaceful and joyful Eid Mubarak. The deployment of personnel and the focus on security measures are part of the efforts to ensure a safe and secure celebration for all. The Corps remains committed to maintaining law and order and protecting the lives and properties of citizens during this festive period.

In the spirit of Eid, it is important to uphold the values of compassion, unity, and kindness towards one another. This is a time to come together as a community and celebrate the blessings of unity and goodwill. The NSCDC is dedicated to serving the people and safeguarding their well-being, and this deployment is a demonstration of their commitment to ensuring peace and security for all.

As the Eld-el-Fitr celebration approaches, the NSCDC is ready to respond to any security threats and ensure a peaceful and harmonious celebration for all. The Corps encourages everyone to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities to help maintain a safe environment during the festivities. Let us come together as a nation to celebrate in peace and unity, honoring the values of compassion and mutual respect. Happy Eid Mubarak to all Muslims!
