The Zamfara State Government, through the ministry of Health, has announced that a recent cholera outbreak that affected communities has been successfully contained, saying there are no active cases of cholera now in the state.

This was announced today by the state commissioner for health Dr Nafisa Mohamed Maradun during an Action Review Meeting on the cholera response, held at the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre in Gusau.
