Three members of the Taraba State House of Assembly, representing the opposition parties; New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), joined the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday.

This defection has increased the PDP’s strength in the Assembly to 16 members, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) holds eight seats.
