The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has provided a weather forecast predicting a mix of thunderstorms and sunshine across the country. According to NiMet’s weather outlook, a sunny atmosphere is expected over the northern region on Friday, with isolated thunderstorms anticipated over parts of Kebbi, Zamfara, and Kaduna states in the afternoon and evening periods.

For the North-central region, the forecast includes sunny skies with few cloudy patches in the morning, shifting to isolated thunderstorms over parts of Niger, the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, and Kwara states later in the day. In the southern region, a combination of clouds and sunshine is expected, with more cloud cover over coastal areas and chances of isolated thunderstorms in Lagos, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states during the morning hours.

As the day progresses, isolated thunderstorms are expected over the South West Inland regions, including Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa states. Moving on to Saturday, NiMet predicts sunny skies with few clouds in parts of the North-west, while the North-east is expected to be sunny and dry in the morning, with isolated thunderstorms likely later in the day in Kebbi, Zamfara, Taraba, and Kaduna states.

The North-central region should experience sunny weather with isolated thunderstorms over certain areas. In the southern region on Saturday, cloudy skies with intermittent sunshine are expected, with more cloud formation along the coast. Isolated thunderstorms are anticipated in states like Ogun, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Edo, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa as the day progresses.

On Sunday, the forecast calls for sunny skies with minimal cloud cover in the northern region, along with isolated thunderstorms in certain areas. In the North-central region, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over parts of Niger, the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara and Kogi states. The southern region should have a mix of clouds and sunshine, with increased cloud cover along the coast and isolated thunderstorms expected in various states during the morning hours.
