The Nigerian Navy has rescued 11 passengers from a sinking speedboat and deactivated several illegal refining sites in Rivers and Delta, in renewed efforts to ensure safety and curb crude oil theft in the nation’s waterways.

This is contained in a statement by the Director of Naval Information, Commodore Ayiwuyor Adams-Aliu, on Thursday in Abuja.
