Former Minister of Defence Rabiu Kwankwaso believes that the Nigerian military has the capability to address the security challenges in the country with the right motivation. Speaking at the National Executive Committee meeting of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Abuja, Kwankwaso emphasized the importance of both the government and citizens in tackling the security issues.

Drawing from his experience as a former Minister of Defence and Security Officer in Kano State, Kwankwaso stressed the importance of federal government intervention in addressing the security crisis. He expressed skepticism towards the effectiveness of state-owned security outfits, highlighting that the Nigerian military is at the forefront of handling such challenges.

Kwankwaso pointed out the gravity of the situation, where people are unable to go about their daily lives due to insecurity, especially in rural areas. He highlighted the abduction and abuse of children by criminals and bandits, emphasizing the urgent need for peace and security in the country.

As the 2023 presidential candidate for NNPP, Kwankwaso asserted that his party has a viable strategy to address the security challenges and other issues facing Nigeria. He criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for failing to fulfill the needs of the people.

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State added his voice, calling on party members to exhibit unwavering loyalty and dedication. He emphasized the importance of giving 100% loyalty to the party, underscoring the need for unity and commitment among members.

In conclusion, Kwankwaso reiterated that NNPP is the beacon of hope for Nigerians, positioning itself as a credible alternative to the existing political parties. He called for cooperation and collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure peace and security in the country.

The statements made by Kwankwaso and other NNPP leaders reflect the pressing need for a concerted effort to address the security challenges in Nigeria. By advocating for the involvement of the military and emphasizing the role of the government and citizens, they underscore the urgency of finding sustainable solutions to the crisis.

In the face of growing insecurity and the looming threat it poses to the nation, the call for unity, cooperation, and effective governance becomes more imperative than ever. It is clear that resolving the security challenges requires a multifaceted approach that involves all sectors of society working together towards a common goal of peace and stability.
