The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening primary health care, PHC, eradicating polio and addressing health system challenges through series of initiatives.

The initiatives, according to Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, include: training of more than 60,000 health workers and a N1 trillion ($1.2 billion) performance-based financing programme for states.
