In response to the recent bandit attacks in Tsafe and Magazu communities in Zamfara, Rep. Kabiru Maipalace (PDP-Zamfara) has stated that the Federal Government will deploy more military troops to the area. The attacks resulted in casualties and kidnappings, prompting the lawmaker to visit the affected communities and assure them of increased security measures.

Representing the Gusau/Tsafe federal constituency at the National Assembly, Mr. Maipalace expressed his commitment to facilitating the deployment of additional troops to enhance security in the region. He emphasized the importance of patience, assuring the communities that more security personnel would be stationed in the area to address the security challenges they were facing.

During his visit, Mr. Maipalace engaged in an interactive session with members of the communities, including a discussion at the Emir’s palace in Tsafe. He expressed his condolences for the losses suffered by the communities and condemned the attacks, particularly highlighting the killing of the local government Commander of Community Protection Guard (CPG) as a tragic event.

The lawmaker acknowledged the ongoing threat posed by bandits in the area, citing multiple incidents of violence and abduction. He underscored the need for collaborative efforts between the government, security agencies, and local communities to tackle the security challenges effectively.

In his efforts to address the escalating insecurity, Mr. Maipalace mentioned Governor Dauda Lawal’s recent visits to President Bola Tinubu and the Service Chiefs in Abuja. He emphasized his collaboration with the governor and security agencies to develop sustainable solutions to the security crisis in Zamfara.

Expressing his concerns over the impact of the attacks on the affected communities, Mr. Maipalace lamented the transformation of Magazu into a ghost town, with residents fleeing due to insecurity. He called attention to the devastating effects on commercial and agricultural activities in the region, stressing the urgent need for comprehensive security measures to restore peace and stability.

The Emir of Tsafe, Muhammad Bawa, through his representative Sarkin Gabas of Tsafe, Abubakar Aliyu, appreciated the lawmaker’s visit and urged the residents to seek divine intervention in overcoming the security challenges. He emphasized the importance of repentance and unity in combating the persistent threats to security in Zamfara and the nation as a whole.

In conclusion, the visit of Rep. Kabiru Maipalace and his interactions with the affected communities reflect a commitment to addressing the security crisis in Zamfara. Through collaborative efforts and increased military presence, there is hope for restoring peace and stability in the region and ensuring the safety of its residents.
