The Nigerian Army has condemned the torture of an ex-soldier, retired Corporal Toriola Adewale, by members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The director, Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

Mr Nwachukwu, a major-general, said the video of the torture was being circulated by the self-acclaimed prime minister of IPOB, Simon Ekpa.
