Nigeria: NEMA clarifies roles of states, LGs in disaster response — Africa Links 24

National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has reiterated the need for coordinated disaster response across federal, state, and local government levels.

Eric Ebhodaghe, South-South Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, made the clarification in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Port Harcourt on Friday.

He expressed concerns over the operational framework for disaster management in the country, urging states and local governments to strengthen their emergency structures.
