The North-East Development Commission (NEDC) has received commendations for its continuous efforts in the agricultural sector, particularly in implementing agricultural extension and empowerment programs to support farmers. The Coalition of North-East Youths Alliance expressed their appreciation during a press conference in Abuja, commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for reappointing Goni Alkali as the Managing Director of the NEDC for a second term.
The Coalition highlighted the significant role played by the NEDC in infrastructural growth, human capacity development, and poverty alleviation in the region. The Commission also provided Ramadan palliatives to the less privileged in the region, benefiting over 600 youth organizations and civil societies.
The Coalition emphasized the importance of supporting the NEDC’s mission to foster sustainable development, reduce poverty, and strengthen economic stability in the North-East.
