The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recently made significant drug busts in different parts of Nigeria, leading to the arrest of several individuals involved in drug trafficking. In Bayelsa, three men were apprehended for trafficking psychoactive substances hidden in noodles. The men, aged between 27 and 44 years, were caught at Swali Jetty in Yenagoa, where 73.425kg of codeine, molly, tramadol, and diazepam were recovered from them. Another suspect was nabbed in Amasoma, Yenagoa, with drugs concealed in jumbo sacks and transported to Swali Jetty in a tricycle.

In Orile Imo, Ogun State, two suspects were found in possession of 137 blocks of suspected Indian hemp weighing 71kg. In Taraba, NDLEA operatives seized 39,980 tramadol pills from a 33-year-old suspect in Lankaviri village and arrested a 29-year-old man in Wukari with 131kg of Indian hemp. Additionally, in Abia, a 28-year-old man was apprehended in Akara Ahuba, in Isikwuato Local Government Area, with 46.65kg of Indian hemp and various quantities of tramadol, methamphetamine, and Rohypnol, along with N71,500 in cash.
