Late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, passed away under mysterious circumstances, prompting the need for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death. The Director of Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, Richard Somiari, recently provided an update on the progress of the autopsy, stating that the results would be available in the next three to four weeks.

During a coroner’s inquest into the singer’s death at the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, Mr. Somiari assured that the autopsy report was being conducted with the highest level of professionalism. He emphasized that they were exploring all possibilities, including the involvement of poison, in order to authenticate the cause of Mohbad’s death.

The public outcry following Mohbad’s death prompted the coroner’s inquest, where Mr. Somiari testified after being cross-examined by the defence counsel. He explained the meticulous process involved in conducting the autopsy and the measures taken to ensure the accuracy and security of the results.

“We expected to get the first set of autopsy results in three to four weeks and re-confirm to authenticate the cause of the death. We searched for multiple possibilities, to check if poison was involved in the death of Mohbad since no actual cause was mentioned. We have a place where items are stored for safety and security of results. There is a procedure for monitoring samples moved abroad,” he stated.

The Coroner adjourned the case to 15 April, urging all parties involved in the inquest to be present on that day for further proceedings. The coroner’s inquest aims to unravel the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and provide closure to his family, friends, and fans.

Mohbad’s untimely passing has left a void in the music industry and his fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the autopsy report to shed light on the cause of his death. The delay in obtaining the results is understandable, given the thorough and meticulous process involved in conducting an autopsy to ensure accuracy and credibility.

As the music community mourns the loss of a talented artist, the revelation of the autopsy findings will provide much-needed closure and answers to the questions surrounding Mohbad’s death. The public interest in the case underscores the importance of transparency and accountability in investigating the death of public figures.

The release of Mohbad’s autopsy report in the coming weeks will hopefully bring clarity and closure to this tragic chapter, allowing his family, friends, and fans to grieve and honor his memory. In the meantime, the authorities continue their thorough investigation to ensure that justice is served and the truth is revealed.
