Nigeria: Malaria infection could lead to multi-organ failure, respiratory distress, others — FUTA don – Tribune Online

A professor of Applied Parasitology at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Titus Olusi, has warned that malaria infection that is not promptly and properly treated could lead to several complications, including multi-organ failure, severe anaemia, respiratory distress, and eventual death.

Malaria remains a serious health problem and one of the most common causes of morbidity and mortality, particularly in tropical countries, including Nigeria.
