The Police Commissioner of Lagos State, Adegoke Fayoade, recently stated that the command provided water and biscuits to protesters during a nationwide protest carried out by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to prevent anyone from collapsing due to the long distance and hot weather. “I provided water and biscuits because I don’t want anyone to collapse on the way. We have to use water to strengthen everybody. That is the least we could do,” he said.
