Nigeria: Lagos govt caters for 6,280 indigent pregnant women

The Lagos State Government has assisted a total of 6,280 indigent pregnant women with nutritional support under the Mother, Infant and Child Development (MICHD) programme, as part of a strategic effort to combat maternal and neonatal health challenges in the state.

The government also disclosed that 8,690 people have benefited from the “Sanwo-Olu Listens” Social Intervention Programme, which provides financial aid directly to indigent residents of Lagos.
