Nigeria: Kawu Sumaila welcomes Gov. Yusuf’s plan to grant full autonomy to Kano LGs — Africa Links 24

Kawu Sumaila, the Senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, has welcomed a move by Governor Abba Yusuf to transmit a bill granting full financial and administrative autonomy to 44 local government councils in the state.

In a statement issued by his media aide, on Friday, Abbas Adam–Abbas, the lawmaker described the move as a vindication of the struggle he initiated at the national level.
