The Judicial Service Commission, JSC, has appointed Basira Umar, as the first female Chief Registrar of the Katsina State High Court of Justice since the creation of the state in 1987.
This was announced in a statement issued to newsmen in Katsina on Saturday, by Musa Usman, the director of Protocols to the state High Court of Justice.
According to him, the appointment followed the retirement of Mr Mustapha Hassan-Rumah from service.
