Nigeria: Kano trains health officers to reduce maternal deaths

The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) has trained health facility officers and desk officers involved in the ABBACare Maternal Service Initiative as part of efforts to reduce preventable maternal deaths in the state.

The agency said the capacity-building programme was aimed at improving access to timely and quality maternal healthcare services, particularly for vulnerable women receiving antenatal care (ANC) under the ABBACare scheme.
