Kano Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has recruited no fewer than 100 Forest Guards for the management of the state’s forests.

The state’s Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Dr Dahir Hashim, disclosed this during the official presentation of letters of appointments to the newly-engaged Forest Guards, held at the ministry on Monday.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr Hashim said the forest guards would guard the trees against illegal felling.
