‎The Kano State Government has directed the Shura Council to carefully study and advice the government on petitions and counter petitions against Sheikh Lawan Triumph, who allegedly blasphemed against Prophet Muhammad.

A group of protesters on Wednesday marched to the government house, asking the governor to intervene.

In his response, Governor Abba Yusuf urged them to come up with a written petition, adding that he would act on their petition.
