Kano State Government has demanded compensation from the federal government over the compensation over the cancellation of Durbar celebrations in two consecutive years.

The state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Tajo Uthman, made the call during the traditional Sallah homage to the governor by Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, on Sunday.
