Nigeria: Kano govt declares friday public holiday to mark maulud celebration — Africa Links 24

Kano State Government has declared Friday, September 12 as a public holiday to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, PBUH.

The holiday marks the Maulud celebration, corresponding to 19th Rabi’ul Awwal 1447 AH.

This is contained in a statement issued by Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, on Thursday in Kano.
