Nigeria: Kano commissioner, Nasiru Sule-Garo, resigns — Africa Links 24

Kano State Commissioner for Special Duties, Nasiru Sule-Garo, has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

The resignation was contained in a letter dated January 26, 2026, and addressed to the Executive Governor of Kano State through the Secretary to the State Government, SSG.

In the letter, Mr Garo said his decision to step down followed “careful thought and consideration,” noting that he was grateful for the trust and support extended to him during his time in office.
