Junior Pope, along with other crew members, met their untimely demise when their boat capsized in the Anam River in Anambra state while returning from a movie shoot.

In a series of Instagram videos shared on Saturday, Adanma Luke expressed her deep sorrow and guilt over the unfortunate incident. She revealed that she blames herself for choosing to shoot the movie in Asaba instead of Lagos. The trauma and shock of the accident have left her numb, and she still struggles to come to terms with the reality of what happened.

Adanma Luke disclosed that she was supposed to be on the ill-fated boat but stayed back at the last minute to hand over a memory card to the film crew. She shared that she has been working behind the scenes to provide support for the families of the deceased and to ensure their bodies are laid to rest properly.

The producer also recounted how her production manager informed her that Junior Pope had refused to wear a life jacket because it was dirty. The tragic events that unfolded on April 10th have left Adanma Luke devastated and heartbroken.

Despite her grief, Adanma Luke has been actively involved in recovery efforts and supporting the search for the bodies of the victims. She emphasized that she has been providing fuel money, caskets, and ambulances to ensure that the deceased are respectfully laid to rest.

Adanma Luke narrated the harrowing moments leading up to the accident, where she was on the brink of boarding the boat with two children before learning of the tragedy. She described the confusion and shock she felt upon hearing about the loss of her crew members.

The producer also shared details about the life jackets that were available on the boat, revealing that some crew members survived because they wore them. Junior Pope, unfortunately, declined to wear a life jacket and ultimately lost his life in the tragic accident.
