The Federal University, Dutse, FUD, in Jigawa State says its staff, Salihu Ibrahim, has developed a software application for early detection of diabetes and breast cancer.

The institution’s spokesman, Abdullahi Yahaya, made the disclosure in a statement in Dutse on Friday.

Mr Yahaya said that Mr Ibrahim, who is the Head of the Medical Biochemistry Department, had described diabetes and breast cancer as major diseases ravaging Nigeria and Africa.
