Bashir Ahmad, the former special assistant on digital communications to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has suggested that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the NNPP presidential candidate in the 2023 election, may surpass expectations if he joins the ruling APC. This speculation comes after one of the founding fathers of the APC, Bisi Akande, was recently pictured with Kwankwaso.

In a recent post shared on Sunday, January 21, Ahmad hinted that Kwankwaso and his followers are welcomed into the APC. He mentioned that the ruling party is excited to receive Kwankwaso and believes that he has the potential to succeed within the party.

This development arises after a faction of the NNPP confirmed the expulsion of Kwankwaso, which has fueled speculation that he might decamp to the APC. It has been asserted that figures such as Senator Kwankwaso and the complete roster of the former national working committee have already been ousted from the NNPP.

Reacting to the situation, Ahmad stated that the APC is more than ready to receive Kwankwaso into its fold and emphasized that politics is a game of numbers, and Kwankwaso possesses the required numbers to excel in any type of political arena.

In another related development, Legit.ng reported that Senator Kwankwaso boasted that he is a political mastermind and that nobody can beat him in the game of politics. He addressed the plots to frame him for orchestrated violence and dismissed rumors of any deal with the APC to get a favorable judgment at the apex court.

Additionally, Bashir Ahmad recently observed some dangerous areas in Abuja and urged the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to fix street lights in those locations to enhance security.

Overall, there is growing speculation that Rabiu Kwankwaso may join the APC, and his possible defection has sparked conversations among political circles and supporters. Only time will tell what decision Kwankwaso will make and how it will impact the political landscape in Nigeria.
