Nigeria: IGR forms 60 per cent of Lagos State’s budget – Sanwo-Olu — Africa Links 24

Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, now forms 60 per cent of Lagos State’s annual budget, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said on Wednesday.

Mr Sanwo-Olu also said that Lagos State Government generated about N1.3 trillion internally in 2024.

The government made the disclosure while declaring open the 159th meeting of the Joint Revenue Board in Lagos.

He attributed the feat to sustained investments in digital tax systems, expanded tax net and building trust with taxpayers.
