Controversial social media commentator, Daniel Regha, is no stranger to receiving death threats for his outspoken comments on various issues. In a recent episode of the popular Channels Television program, Rubbin’ Minds, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Regha opened up about the threats he faces on a regular basis.

During the interview, Regha revealed that he often takes precautions to disguise himself while going out in public to avoid potential confrontations or attacks. He mentioned wearing a nose mask whenever he stepped out of the house, fearing that someone might recognize him and try to harm him.

Rega shared, “Whenever I step out of the house, I’m always on a nose mask because I don’t know who I am going to meet in public and would be like, ‘Finally, I’ve caught you.’ I get threats a lot. Of recent, some people told me that they are going to shoot me if they see me in Lagos, Ibadan or Benin. They even put R.I.P emojis, some even put guns and axes. It’s scary sometimes. But I just pray and ask God for protection.”

Despite the constant threats and the fear of being targeted, Regha maintained that he does not see himself as a troll. When asked if he considers himself a troll, Regha responded with a firm, “I’m not a troll. Definitely not!”

The interview sparked a conversation on social media, with many expressing support for Regha and condemning the threats he receives. A tweet from a user named @OneJoblessBoy shared a quote from Regha, “I get threats a lot,” along with a link to the interview.

The tweet gained traction on Twitter, with users expressing concern for Regha’s safety and urging authorities to take action against those making threats. The tweet also raised awareness about the dangers that social media commentators and influencers face in today’s digital age.

The issue of online harassment and threats against public figures is not new, but it continues to be a pressing concern. The anonymity and accessibility of social media platforms make it easy for individuals to target and harass others without facing any consequences.

In response to the threats he receives, Regha remains steadfast in his beliefs and continues to voice his opinions on various topics. Despite the challenges he faces, he remains committed to speaking out on issues that matter to him and standing up for what he believes in.

As the conversation around online harassment and threats continues to grow, it is important for individuals, platforms, and authorities to take a stand against such behavior and ensure the safety and security of all users. Daniel Regha’s story serves as a reminder of the real-world consequences of online hate and the importance of standing up against it.
