Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have launched an attack on the council secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists ,NUJ, in Damaturu, Yobe State on Friday.
According to reports, the incident, which occurred around 2 am, left one policeman severely injured.
Confirming the attack, the state chairman of NUJ, Rajab Mohammed, described the incident as both “unfortunate and scary” for journalists operating in the state.
