Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno on Thursday announced a state pardon to 66 convicted persons and gifted N50,000 and N20,000 cash to each patient and inmate in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that no fewer than 2,000 patients and 1,280 inmates were expected to benefit from the governor’s generosity at different healthcare facilities as well as the inmates at maximum Correctional Centre Maiduguri.
