Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to redeploy the state’s Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu-Bakori, over alleged partisanship.

Mr Yusuf accused the police of last-minute withdrawal of police officers from the Independence Day anniversary parade held in Kano on Wednesday.

While lamenting over the conduct of the police, the governor described the action as an affront to the people of Kano and to the spirit of national unity.
