The governor of Bauchi, Bala Mohammed, has appointed Haruna Danyaya as the new emir of Ningi.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the spokesman for the governor, Mukhtar Gidado.
The statement stated that Mr Danyaya, the eldest son of the late emir, was appointed as the 17th emir of Ningi, following the recommendations of the kingmakers.
