Governor Umaru Bago of Niger has directed the reopening of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, IBBUL, with immediate effect following improvements in security around the university premises.
Abubakar Usman, Secretary to Niger Government said this, in a statement, in Minna on Friday.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the governor had on June 25, ordered the closure of the university following the tragic death of a student due to robbery at the university community.
