Dr. Modupe Elebute-Odunsi, a Consultant Haemato-oncologist, has taken a significant step towards achieving gender equality and empowering women in the healthcare industry by launching the Women in Healthcare Network (WIHCN). This initiative aims to increase the contribution of women in the development of the Nigerian health system in line with Sustainable Development Goal 5.

The launch event of WIHCN featured three panel sessions focusing on leadership, financing, and mentorship. Led by Founding Members who are industry leaders with remarkable track records, these panels demonstrated the power of women coming together to inspire and support each other. The discussions during the launch event provided a glimpse of the future events planned for WIHCN members.

Reflecting on the overwhelming support received during the launch, Dr. Modupe Elebute-Odunsi, who also serves on the Board of Trustees of WIHCN, expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for driving this important initiative. She emphasized the need for women in healthcare to join WIHCN to maximize their careers and businesses by connecting, informing, and inspiring each other.
