President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that they will soon experience positive changes despite the current challenges facing the country. In a meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council at the state house Banquet Hall, Tinubu reiterated his commitment to making Nigeria great and bringing joy to every citizen.
During the gathering, which took place on April 3, Tinubu emphasized the importance of the council’s resources, dedication, and hard work in advancing the progress of Nigeria. Hosting the leadership of the defunct council to a Ramadan Iftar at the state house conference centre, Tinubu expressed his determination to work tirelessly for the betterment of the country.
The tradition of breaking the fast during Ramadan is a significant event at the Aso Rock Villa, the official residence of Nigeria’s presidents since 1999. Vice President Kashim Shettima joined Tinubu for the Iftar, which began with the Magrib prayer and concluded with a banquet that lasted for an hour before the night prayer of Isha.
As the Islamic holy month of Ramadan serves as a period of fasting from dawn to dusk for adult Muslims, Tinubu used the occasion to address the council members. He acknowledged the challenges facing the country but remained hopeful for the future.
Tinubu stated, “It is the hard job that you promised the people of Nigeria a good result when you were campaigning for me. I have to work for it.” He emphasized the need for hard work and determination to achieve progress, reassuring the council of positive outcomes in the future.
Regarding the economy, Tinubu expressed confidence in its improvement despite challenges such as inflation. He mentioned efforts to reengineer the economy, enhance revenue, and restore Nigeria’s sovereignty and respect on the global stage.
In another development, President Tinubu signed the national students loan amendment bill into law on April 3. The bill aims to provide financial assistance to indigent Nigerian students in tertiary institutions, reflecting the government’s commitment to supporting education.
In conclusion, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s meeting with the leadership of the APC presidential campaign council highlighted his determination to drive positive change in Nigeria. Despite the current challenges, Tinubu remains focused on working towards a better future for all citizens. Through dedication, hard work, and collaboration, the country can overcome obstacles and progress towards greatness.
