Former Governor of Taraba state, Jolly Nyame, is optimistic about the development that Governor Agbu Kefas will bring to the state. In a recent interaction with journalists in Takum, Nyame expressed his confidence in Kefas’s ability to surpass his own achievements during his tenure as governor for 10 years.
Nyame highlighted the importance of listening to good advice, a trait he believes Kefas possesses. He emphasized the need for citizens to support the current governor in his efforts to transform Taraba even further. Nyame noted that Kefas has shown a willingness to engage with elders and seek their guidance, a promising sign for the state’s future development.
The former governor praised Kefas’s commitment to completing all abandoned projects before embarking on new ones, citing the College of Nursing and Midwifery in Jalingo as an example. Nyame visited the institution and was impressed by the decision to reconstruct it to international standards, a move he described as an “infrastructure revolution.” He also commended Kefas for expanding projects initiated by the previous administration to world-class standards, such as the tipper garage project started by Governor Darius Ishaku.
Nyame acknowledged the challenges of insecurity in Taraba and urged Kefas to intensify efforts to address them. He stressed the importance of ensuring the security of the state’s citizens to achieve the desired development goals. Nyame called on all Taraba residents to promote peace and support Governor Kefas in his quest to make the state great again.
Overall, Nyame expressed confidence in Kefas’s leadership and vision for Taraba’s future. He pledged to continue offering guidance and advice to the governor whenever necessary to ensure the state’s progress. Nyame’s endorsement of Kefas’s transformative policies and commitment to development reflects his belief that Taraba is poised for significant growth under the current administration.
